Tracking the daily GLP-1 pill (Rybelsus): what's different from the shot

Most GLP-1 trackers were built around a weekly shot. If you take the daily pill, a lot of what they do is the wrong shape. Here is what changes, and what a tracker should do about it.

Once a day, first thing, on an empty stomach

Rybelsus® (oral semaglutide) is taken every day rather than once a week. The instruction on the label is specific: first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, with no more than a small sip of plain water, then a wait of at least 30 minutes before food, other drinks or other medicines. Your own prescriber's instructions always come first; the label is the standard version.

That routine is the whole game with the pill. A shot forgives a lot: you take it, and the week runs. A pill taken with breakfast, or with coffee, or forgotten until lunch, is a different day. So the useful tracking question is not "did I take it this week" but "did today's morning go the way it should".

What a pill-first tracker does differently

The rest is the same as any GLP-1 journey

Weight, meals, protein, water and steps still matter, and so does keeping muscle while you lose (see protein on a GLP-1). GLP Gone tracks all of it, scans barcodes so you are not typing, and prints a clean one-page report you can hand to your doctor: your doses, your weight trend, your symptoms, all in one place.

Privacy, briefly
