A GLP-1 tracker with no account: what that means and why we built it that way
A tracker for a weight-loss medication holds your doses, your weight every morning, what you ate and how your stomach felt. That is about as personal as data gets. We think the right amount of it to send to the app's maker is none.
No account, no GLP Gone servers
You download GLP Gone from Google Play, open it, and start logging. There is nothing to sign up for. There is no GLP Gone server for your log to go to, so we never see what you record: not your weight, not your doses, not your notes.
Two things in the app do talk to the outside world, and we say so plainly. The barcode scanner looks up a product in a public food database when you scan it, and Pro purchases go through Google Play. Neither sees your log.
What this means in practice
- Your data is on your phone. That is where it lives. Uninstalling the app removes it, so the app can export one file, a readable page you can also restore from, and it reminds you to make one.
- A doctor report you print, not upload. The one-page summary for appointments is built on your phone and saved or shared the way any file is.
- No ads inside the app and no advertising network of its own.
What it costs
Logging is free with no time limit: doses, weight, meals, protein, water, steps, symptoms. GLP Gone Pro, an optional subscription with a yearly plan, unlocks the insights engine (the patterns in your own log), unlimited barcode scanning, the doctor report and photo comparison. There is no free trial and no countdown; the free half stays free.
